Business Controller

What will you do?

As Business Controller you function as financial advisor to the management and you are responsible for the project control of the business units Bayards Yacht Structures B.V. and Bayards Aluminium Solutions B.V. In addition, you contribute to the further development and optimisation of the Corporate Finance policy of the Bayards Group and act as sparring partner for the CFO.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Responsible for preparing financial plans, budgets and forecasts for the relevant business unit or project.
• Cost Management: Monitor and manage costs within the business unit or project, and identify cost saving opportunities.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare financial reports and analyses to evaluate the performance of the business unit or project and recommend improvements.
• Project Forecasting: Responsible for the financial follow-up of ongoing projects, working closely with the project managers and BU managers to this end.
• Risk management: Identify and assess financial (project) risks.
• Process management: You are continuously identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, BU units and team members to achieve financial targets and complete projects successfully.
• Audits and Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, and participate in external audits when required.

What do we ask?

In the role of Business Controller, you have critical and communication skills. You are flexible, proactive and driven in your work. We also ask;

• You have at least a completed Bachelor's degree in finance or business economics.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a similar role.
• Knowledge of financial software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to act proactively.
Familiarity with project organisations.
