Business Controller

As Business Controller in Production you are responsible for the controlling activities of the production unit of the Installation Materials Department (junction boxes, house connection and group boxes) in Ede within Business Area Electrification. Within this unit we strive for an optimal utilization of the machines according to the latest technology, where a timely and correct alignment of man and machine is of great importance. In this role you function as the financial business partner. You spar on a regular basis with different stakeholders to improve business processes, grow the business and make the right strategic choices. These stakeholders include the local product group manager, the head of the development department, but also Product Management, Procurement and support functions such as HR and Customer Support. In addition, you will take care of reporting and analysis and be involved in calculation and planning.

Your responsibilities

• With a constructively critical eye, you take care of reports and analyses concerning production, integral margin development and cost price developments.
• You analyze business results and actively propose (process) improvements.
• You take care of the month-end reporting and activities for the production location.
• You are directly involved in investment calculations, cost-benefit analyses and calculations regarding the optimization of the machinery.
• You are the leading person when it comes to forecasting and budgeting and are your linking pin between Sales and Production.
• You ensure the correct application of US GAAP and SOX.
• Together with your colleagues you formulate goals of which the result is measurable and insightful. You account for the achieved (financial) results.

Your background

• You have HBO (applied sciences) working and thinking level. You are preferably educated in a business economics direction.
• You have several years of experience as a controller, preferably within a production environment.
• You have a thorough knowledge of business processes and their (numerical) coherence and of planning & control.
• You understand and have feeling for the business and the customer, you can manage by agreement and you are decisive.
• You have good analytical skills and are able to separate main and minor issues.
• You have a critical, tenacious and proactive attitude and possess good social, communication and advisory skills.
• You are energetic and ambitious and have the will to develop further as a controller.
• You are a team player who is also able to work independently.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
