Our client is a foundation that is an initiative to help tackle climate change.
- Lead and supervise a team of 4 finance grant managers, providing guidance, support, and
mentoring to ensure effective performance and professional development.
- Oversee the financial management of grant-funded projects, including the supervision of the
Budget Proposals, computation of Finance information into the granting system, and
financial reporting.
- Review grant agreements, understand donor requirements, and ensure compliance with
funding guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide financial guidance and support during the development of grant proposals, and
ensuring alignment with organisational financial processes.
- Stay updated with donor policies, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with program managers, Strategic Partnership teams and stakeholders to
develop accurate project budgets, ensure the reporting requirements will be met and more
generally the alignment between grant requirements and financial processes.
- Liaise with the Business Control unit and the Revenue accountant to allocate the income
into the granting system.
- Ensure the correctness and completeness of the information managed by the Finance Grant
Management Team in our granting system (funding sources, grantees credentials…) and
ensure the compliance with our internal processes before releasing payments to grantees.
- Ensure the preparation of regranting reporting following our internal process and
governance (Docket process).
- From the Budget monitoring, analyse and identify any variances or risks that should lead to
the appropriate actions (needs for amendments, change in bookings etc…).
- As part of Funder reporting, run the Allocation Engine and import its results in our
accounting system (Netsuite).
- Coordinate, plan and prepare submission of comprehensive financial reports to grantors in
compliance with their reporting requirements. Ensure accuracy, transparency, and
timeliness in financial reporting.
- Supervise, coordinate and manage grant audits, maintain proper documentation and
records related to grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory
standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, Finance Units (Budget and accounting) to ensure
effective coordination and communication regarding financial aspects of grant-funded
projects.
- Identify areas for process improvement, develop and implement financial management
policies, procedures, and internal controls related to grant funding.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, trends, and emerging issues in finance grant
management. Apply relevant knowledge and skills to enhance the organisation's grant
management processes.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance grant management, including financial reporting, compliance,
and donor relations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a
high-performing team.
- Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet
deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
