Your tasks and responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for financial reporting, management reporting, financial data analysis and quality financial data activities for Petrogas Europe. Next to your day-to-day activities you are also part of projects in relation to Financial Analysis/Quality financial data and Automation.
- Conduct financial reporting (e.g. monthly and annual IFRS group reporting and annual statutory reporting) and other standard reporting of the FRT team in order to provide internal and external stakeholders with an overview of the company’s financial statements as well as meeting regulatory requirements.
- To perform these activities, you will be in close contact with your direct colleagues, but also with the Global Head Office, (senior) management and auditors.
- Conduct standard monthly management reporting and information (e.g. monthly financial performance, project reports, etc). Also other specific periodic financial reporting to other stakeholders (eg. financial arrangement with banks or other institutions).
- Activities to innovate and improve quality of financial data to improve accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitor and research new/emerging regulatory requirements and ability to develop Accounting Policies or Reporting Definitions from more complex accounting or reporting topics aligned with current and/or new reporting requirements.
- Support Senior Financial Analyst in managing the Group and Dutch statutory audits and advise and support on matters for the Foreign entity audits, Corporate audits and internal audits.
Your experience and knowledge
- Bachelor or Master in Business, Economics or Accountancy.
- Minimum of 4 years as an external auditor at BIG4 or Financial Controller/Financial Analyst.
- Experience in (financial) reporting and more complex accounting matters.
- English on a professional level and Dutch is a pré.

- Determining priorities to be flexible to meet the deadlines and to have effective planning skills due to the high-level of activities and deadlines during year end. Also due to several communication lines with different stakeholders.
- Staying on top of reporting requirements and increased complexities, but at the same can translate this financial data in a fashion that is practical to work with and use.
- Grasping the storyline behind the numbers in a fast-changing world and changing requirements. Also as you are highly depending on others for input and documentation.
