Senior Payment Process Analyst

Job Summary:

The Senior Payment Process Analyst supports the Team Lead Payments Operations in ensuring efficient and scalable payment processes. This role involves automating processes, analyzing and monitoring operations, and implementing improvements. The Senior Payment Process Analyst also contributes to project implementation for business growth. The role requires a deep understanding of payment operations, including payment lifecycle, accounting and clearing, and operational risk management. The Senior Payment Process Analyst plays a key role in identifying areas for process improvement and executes projects within their area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work and make processes more scalable
• Develop and implement control procedures to decrease financial risks and address payout and clearing issues proactively
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of payment processes, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies in all payment activities
• Oversee month-end reconciliation activities and support audits as needed
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and analysis using SQL queries
• Collaborate with Data and Fintech teams to provide insights for the Payment Execution Team
• Analyze payment data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and trends, and take corrective actions as necessary
• Assist in implementing new change initiatives
• Work on ad-hoc projects and share knowledge with the team
• Identify innovative ideas to improve the customer and partner experience and increase efficiency
• Support the Team Lead Payments Operations in defining team objectives and individual OKRs
• Ensure operational excellence through SLA compliance, KPIs, and quality controls
• Coach and assist team members on process improvements
• Educate internal teams on payments-related topics
• Act as the main point of contact for third-party vendors and internal teams regarding payments
• Provide backup support for tasks including automated payments, payout issues, and systems/technology
• Collaborate with Process Owners on driving the team's roadmap

Requirements:

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
• Excellent English communication skills, adapting style to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated tenacity and results-driven mindset
• Customer-oriented approach
• Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
• Driven to operate at scale and reduce manual efforts
• Comfortable running SQL queries and familiarity with SAP
• Experience with systems such as SWIFT, SAP, and Tableau/BI reporting tools
• Understanding of data queries and analytical tools (such as SQL and Python) is a plus
• Knowledge of process excellence and continuous improvement
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
