Job Description

The Accounting Transformations team manages cross-function initiatives aimed at navigating routine or complex transactions, adopting regulatory or technology changes, or improving maturing/existing operations. As such, we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Process Analyst that will support monitoring, evaluating and regulating Accounting processes, systems, and tools. The Senior Process Analyst has a deep passion for data analysis, presentation, process mapping and improvement. The perfect candidate will bring good communication skills and a good level of proactivity.

As part of Accounting Transformations, processes, systems, data and technology are at our core. You will be primarily focused on ensuring accounting data integrity and reconciliations of data migrations on a daily basis. Along with analyzing operational processes to support documentation and implementation of new Finance procedures, while maintaining the Accounting infrastructure, business growth, and the Connected Trip.

Within the Transformations team, you will be part of a dynamic organization of finance professionals. You will be working from our headquarters in Amsterdam(hybrid), but can interact regularly with our global finance teams.

B.Responsible:

• Play a key role in process compliance and financial data integrity excellence
• Help to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, areas for improvement and work on projects to solve them
• Promote SAP best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), while encouraging innovation and seeking feedback from stakeholders to drive enhancements in the routine financial activities
• Prepare guidance for diverse financial processes, aiming to give clarity for both financial and non-financial people
• Design processes together with different accounting and non-accounting process owners, aiming to achieve the best practices for the organization
• Prepare product presentation and organize follow up meetings

B.Skilled:

• +4 years of proven experience in business process management and/ or Internal/External Audit
• Previous experience with risk management, process controls and Accounting is a plus
• Strong problem solving skills with an understanding of general risk and process control concepts across Accounting and Operations, while being able to simplify complex areas and communicate this to others
• Good communication skills and ability to work, influence and align with a variety of people, levels and roles
• Flexible and capable to find the right balance between structured problem analysis and project management and agility to deal with Booking.com’s fast-paced change environment
• Pragmatic and logical thinker with a proactive self-starter attitude
• Knowledge of SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) is required
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is a plus
• Fluent in spoken and written English
