MR MARVIS is looking for a full-time Assistant Financial Controller to join the finance team at our Amsterdam HQ.
Your main responsibilities will include supporting the Financial Controller with the month-end close, the preparation of the Financial Statement and the annual external audit. Setting up internal controls and new processes will also be part of your role in the team.
The month-end close process includes all sections of the P&L, ranging from revenue and VAT entries, inventory movements, advertising spend, general operating expenses and all accruals associated to these sections. Besides this you will prepare allocations for our management reporting and you’ll be responsible for maintaining the Fixed asset register and the monthly depreciations runs. You will control the balance sheet through preparation of the balance sheet specifications.
Further, you are expected to control existing and implement new controls and internal processes. The Financial Controller will be guiding you in this journey of course! as this is an area where MR MARVIS can still improve a lot.
You will learn how to identify risks and mitigate these.
In 2024 MR MARVIS is planning to implement an ERP system, namely Odoo.
Together with the Financial Controller you will have a big role in this project to set up accounting records and automate as many processes as possible within the ERP system.
