Assistant Financial Controller

Radio Holland is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our finance team in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial information to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international accounting standards and regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and drive efficiency.

• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.

Skills / Abilities

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Proficient in financial analysis techniques and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Dutch and English, verbal and written communication skills.

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting roles.

Education

Secondary vocational education, preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field.
