(Assistant) Financial Controller

For the finance department of an international automotive company in Nieuw-Vennep we are searching for an (Assistant) Financial Controller. The company is a trade company for new cars to B2B clients across Europe. The finance team consists of 3 accounting employees and a CFO.

The job comes with a lot of autonomy and responsibility. It not only offers the possibility to coordinate our day-to-day financial operation together with the CFO. You are also in close contact with all the business stakeholders involved; from the owner of the company to an international sales trader, and from a buying manager to a logistic planner.

Job responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of various reports on a periodical basis (for both internal and external stakeholders)
• Maintain accounting and administration for entities
• Review reports prepared by local accountants
• Perform credit reviews of (potential) relationships
• Ensure compliancy with local tax regulations
• Liaise with internal departments and external parties to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of information

We are searching for:

• At least a Bachelor/HBO in Accounting or equal level
• Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar accounting or audit role
• A good understanding of Accounting Principles
• Experience within an international firm
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• An energetic, flexible and proactive person
• Someone who communicates easily on different levels
• A high proficiency in English. A native/secondary language would be a nice extra (e.g. German, Spanish).
