What do we offer?
What do you bring?
Why Ahold Delhaize
As ESG Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for the Environmental, Social & Governance reporting which captures multiple growth drivers for the company. The Environmental, social and governance (ESG) area reflects business strategy and data collection, which is broader than sustainability. As ESG topics become more integrated into the core of our business practices, the reporting function has become a reflection of that and will develop further in future.
About Ahold Delhaize
We’re Ahold Delhaize, one of the world’s largest food retail groups and a leader in both supermarkets and e-commerce. Together with our 19 strong local retail brands in the United States, Europe and Indonesia, we make a meaningful difference in the lives of our brands’ customers, our people and the world around us. We offer a highly dynamic, international work environment in which our associates thrive.
Your new job and work environment
In your role as ESG financial controller you deliver periodical/quarterly reporting and control, manage the delivery of the input and are responsible for end to end reporting process within the Netherlands (Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall). You are responsible for coaching the business owners and ensuring ongoing awareness of changing definitions. This means that you stay closely connected to the business in order to ensure the ESG reporting guidance is implemented (growth path) and definitions are understood by local management. Together with the NL ESG Finance team, the ESG Director and Director F&A for NL, you will be responsible for implementation and proper reporting of all applicable EU taxonomy indicators as well as successful publishing of the ESG actuals to NL Business stakeholders and to GSO.
The newly arising area of ESG requires lots of focus on continues improvement and process optimization. CSRD is an additional, partly overlapping topic. Your role is to implement and secure proper process governance and awareness around the organization. Therefore, you work towards the transformation of ESG reporting.
What’s in it for you?
Aside from what we ask of you in this role, we also have a great deal to offer you: plenty of growth opportunities and various cross-brand career options; flexible working hours; a hybrid working model (we ask you to spend at least 50% of your working time at the office); and the chance to drive meaningful change on a global scale. You can look forward to a good work-life balance, and the chance to work in an inclusive environment that wholeheartedly encourages growth and welcomes you just the way you are.
